[ 001 ] -- For sessions that can't be redone

Never lose a second.

CraterSync runs remote directed voiceover and recording sessions: every voice and every camera captured at source on the participant's own device and sealed to the cloud while you're still rolling. Bit-perfect stems, ready for the edit. If the network dies mid-take, the take survives. Built for game audio and localization teams.

[ 002 ] -- One session, start to finish

One session, start to finish.

A localization director in Berlin. A voice talent in Sao Paulo. Real lines from a real build, and an editor waiting on stems. This is the session CraterSync was built around -- and the same engine runs every other kind of high-stakes capture.

SCENE / THE SESSION

A localization director cues a voice talent eight time zones away. The talent clicked a link -- no install, no Source-Connect seat, no setup call. Script and slate on screen, takes counted, circled, and labeled as they land -- every read captured bit-perfect at 48kHz on the talent's own machine.

SCENE / THE DROP

Mid-take, the talent's hotel Wi-Fi dies. The recording doesn't notice. Capture never depended on the network -- chunks persist locally and the upload resumes the moment the connection returns. The live feed hiccups; the master never does.

SCENE / THE HANDOFF

The session ends and the editor gets one bundle: per-take stems in 32-bit float, 24-bit WAV, and FLAC, the circled-take list, the marker CSV, the script version each read was against, FCPXML and AAF for the timeline. Nothing to rename, nothing to reconstruct -- the session arrives already organized.

The same engine runs the other lanes: interviews under NDA with consent capture and signed evidence bundles on Premium, and single-tenant stacks for compliance-bound teams on Dedicated. The lane decides what wraps around the recording -- never how it's captured.

[ 003 ] -- The recording system

Six guarantees, every session.

CraterSync is built around a single idea: the recording on disk is the product, not the feed in the browser. Everything else follows.

NODE 01

Local-first capture

Every participant records at source quality on their own device. Recording quality is decoupled from call quality -- your masters are never compressed to fit the network.

NODE 02

Progressive upload

Chunks travel to the cloud while you're still recording. By the time you stop, most of the session is already safely ingested. No multi-hour waits.

NODE 03

Separate tracks

Each voice on its own stem. Each camera on its own track. Edit with the same freedom a studio engineer expects -- no mixed-down surprises.

NODE 04

Session recovery

Network drops pause uploads, not recordings. Chunks are persisted locally and resume automatically the moment connectivity returns.

NODE 05

Per-session encryption

Every session gets its own 256-bit DEK. Chunks are sealed with AES-GCM before hitting storage. Retention ends with a cryptographic erase, not a support ticket.

NODE 06

One-link guest join

Send a link. Guests walk through a device check in their browser -- no account, no install. Hosts see permissions, bandwidth, and health at a glance.

[ 004 ] -- Two trust models

Managed Cloud, or Dedicated single-tenant.

Same platform, same guest experience, same recording engine. Two ways to engage -- shared cloud or your own isolated stack -- because security teams don't all approve the same shape.

MANAGED CLOUD

Managed Cloud

We run the stack. You sign up, record, ship -- in minutes.

  • Multi-tenant SaaS, isolated by tenancy controls
  • Self-serve Studio from $299/mo; Premium $1,499/mo
  • Upgrade lanes without re-platforming -- one engine end to end
DEDICATED CLOUD

Dedicated Cloud

Your own isolated stack. We operate it. Annual contract, sales-led.

  • Single-tenant Postgres, object storage, KMS
  • Custom subdomain or vanity domain
  • Custom DPA, right-to-review, custom retention

Compliance constraints rule out cloud entirely? Talk to us.

[ 005 ] -- Built for the work that needs it

Pick the workflow closest to yours.

Long-tail, high-stakes recording. The platform is the same -- the page below speaks to your specific shape of session.

Data never leaves your perimeter

Postgres, object storage, keys, and audit log stay in the network your security team approved. The only public surface is the guest join URL.

Retention is a policy, not a ticket

Per-org retention windows trigger cryptographic erasure on a schedule. Admins export the full audit trail as CSV whenever compliance asks.

Enterprise controls, consumer-simple guest

SAML / OIDC for your team. Verified-domain SSO lookup. Email-code sign-in everywhere else -- no passwords to leak. Guests still click a link and record.

[ EOF ] -- READY FOR A REAL SECURITY REVIEW

Your recording system should be approvable.

Every piece of the platform was built so a security review can say yes -- yours, or your client's. Unannounced titles and NDA'd builds are safe here. When the review needs more than shared cloud, there's a lane for that too.
