[ STATION / MUSIC COLLAB ]
Track remote musicians. Real stems, not Zoom audio.
32-bit float per voice, isolated stems per musician, browser-based capture. The vocalist tracks from their place, the producer gets clean masters in their DAW. No DAW required for the talent.
full feature set * guests join in-browser, no install
[ THE PROBLEM ]
Remote tracking is hard with the wrong tools .
Zoom audio is unusable
Compressed, agc-mangled, opus at 32kbps. Fine for talking. Useless for anything you'd keep on the master.
Full DAW SaaS is overkill
BandLab, Soundtrap, Audiotool -- great products, but if you just need 'track this with me, send me the stems,' you don't need a whole shared session and account ecosystem.
Stem hand-off via Dropbox is chaos
v1, v2, v2_FINAL, v2_FINAL_actual. Different sample rates. Wrong start time. The producer pays for it on the back end.
[ THE ANSWER ]
What CraterSync gives songwriters and producers .
Browser-based capture
The vocalist clicks a link, plugs in their interface, and tracks. No DAW, no install, no account creation friction. The friction was always at the talent's machine.
32-bit float WAV stems
Studio-tier on Pro and above. Real headroom, bit-perfect, identical to what they'd get out of a local Pro Tools session. Drop the stems straight into your producer DAW.
Isolated per-musician masters
Each voice and instrument on its own track. The vocalist's stem, the guitar stem, the bass stem -- all separate, all clean, all aligned to the same session timecode.
Local-first capture
Audio captures locally at full quality, then chunks upload in the background. The talent's wifi can drop -- the take keeps going. The chunked upload reconciles after.
MP4 reference of the take
Quick reference video out of every session. Hand it to the editor, drop it in your DAW for sync, share it with the artist for approval. The WAV is for the master; the MP4 is for the conversation.
Multi-musician sessions
Up to 8 participants per session, 5 team seats included. Track a vocalist, a guitarist, a bassist, and a producer all in one session, with every voice on its own clean stem.

[ RUN THE PILOT ]
Track a real session before you ask anyone to install anything.
Pick Studio ($299/mo), invite a remote musician, track a vocal or an instrument, export the stems. Drop the take into your DAW and judge it against what you're used to -- the stems make the case.
[ NOT A FIT IF... ]
We're a bad fit if.
- --You want a fully collaborative cloud DAW where the song lives. BandLab and Soundtrap do that natively -- use them.
- --You're producing in Pro Tools and just need talkback monitoring. Source-Nexus or Source-Connect is cheaper for that single function.
- --You need real-time, sub-30ms-latency monitoring for a live overdub against a click track. The web stack can't promise that today.
